Thx! Hey, my kids gave me the nickname "Overkill Bill".....

... seems to work...

... except when I'm trying to explain to the Admiral why we need this or that for da boat! ;-)

Re: Marinette purchase advice

Fully agree with Joel! Having said that, those that prefer a "no fly bridge" boat admire their boats for a variety of reasons. In many cases, it's subjective. AKA - there's no "right or wrong" in which is a better configuration. I like our FB for the reasons Joel provided. When b...

Re: 28 prop recommendation

For your piece of mind (and in line with what you're asking), a 2nd opinion will be invaluable. I bought a couple of props this spring from Delta Propeller ( http://www.deltaprop.com/ ). A family situation kept us from putting Sunset Seeker in the water this year so I can't comment on performance. H...

Re: Spark Plug Wires

Not being a true "gear head" but more of a "shade tree mechanic" (tuff to do on a boat! :-) )...
Is there a downside to routing plug wires on the outside of the manifolds (length more than heat)?

Re: Fuel Starvation

Other potential causes (not allowing sufficient gas to be available at the carb): - Float in carb sticking - Float valve in carb partially blocked by ?? - air leakage somewhere in fuel delivery line/system (as part of Tuggle's reply above) - blockage somewhere in fuel delivery line/system (as part o...

Re: Flags

TinChips - would these be in color? If so, (and as I understand you to indicate - they'd be without the GLMC logo and just a plain Seahorse imprint), I'd be interested in a couple.

Re: 1988 Marinette 32 Sedan For Sale

Quite a boat!! Hope you're able to sell for at/close to asking price. It's worth it!

Question (as I already have a 32' and next (dreamer) purchase would be a 41' Marquis)... where did you find/buy the end table/drawer(s) unit in the salon between the white/aluminum deck chairs?

Thx,
Bill

Re: Refrigerator Replacement

We used a Xantrex 1000W inverter. http://www.ase-supply.com/Xantrex_806_1010_PRO_Series_Inverter_p/xa-806-1010.htm It supplies plenty of affordable AC to the fridge (ours draws 74 watts when running). You'd need to check your fridge's current draw + normal run time as it cycles on/off to figure the ...

Re: jralbert Private message outbox stuck

With MetalHead's notation above, you can use this as sort of a "message has been read" alert, similar to AOL's system for emails sent to other AOL members. A backdoor "email receipt". ;)

I'd rather think of you, Jeff, as the "Epitome of Frugality"!!
