Re: Electric fuel pump issue.

Thanks guys. Busia - I had been advised that there's a requirement to have an oil pressure switch in place so that, if the engine dies AND the ignition switch is on (and it's left on...) the absence of oil pressure (engine stopped) would open the switch, breaking the ground circuit continuity, forci...

Electric fuel pump issue.

Folks, I'm at a standstill. The starboard engine on my boat has been plagued with fuel issues: - water allowed to get into the gas tank. That's been rectified - pumped tank out of all old gas and crud. Old gas to someone who owns a shop and uses it for parts cleaning. - carburetor issues - co...

Re: Fuel tank/pickup question

... I know from experience this 318 requires far less fuel than that BBC did! :D Good point!!! My 32' SB also has 5/16" from the tank up to where the fuel shutoff valves (including the distribution manifold & Perko fuel/water separator) are located (toward the front of the engine. From the...

Re: Dual 30 amp shore power

Port side panel installed today. This dual 30 amp shore power panel can be removed with eight screws to gain access to the port side fuel fill and hose. Now that I like!!! I'm considering building storage lockers in the sides of the cockpit. The port ones will utilize something in the same vein as ...

Jason,
Would suggest removing your fone #. The website is open to the public and anyone can see and use your fone #..

... you did want to talk about new siding on your boat, right? :-D

Re: Bilge Blower Restoration

Great work!! ... and food for a future project. "Curse you, Red Carl..." :D Serious question.... Will you then route/add the passive 3" air intake hose up from the current side ports up to forward of the engines to allow for air flow collection from that point and back to the new exha...

Re: Help identifying switches at helm

Breakers control the hot ( + ) side of a circiit. The movement control switch will probably not be needed for your new lite, but the power / helm selection control may be still needed.

Re: Help identifying switches at helm

You should verify that your new spotlight has both upper and lower controls. Be awful inconvenient to be out at night on the flybridge and not be able to shift the light up / down and/or left / right. And movement controls are, what many consider, a must. While you can't run a flood/spot light const...

Re: Swim Ladder Question

Carl, I'm not at the boat but I can tell you that my '88 does NOT have that type configuration. Bottom rung/step is a full step (such as your 2 at the top). I believe the PO added that in order to make it easier to board the step platform (would extend deeper in the water). Actually, not a bad idea ...
