Depending on your needs, would a stern thruster work instead? No tunnel to cut, just a few bolt holes under the swim platform instead. I know that is an over-simplification but, they do offer an alternative to cutting a hole in the bow.
Best of luck, Scott

Re: Following Seas
Previous posts are good advice. Keep your tabs up and play with a speed that is most comfortable. I say this with all possible caution, but slower is not always better. A "slightly" higher speed relative to the wave action may actually increase your overall stability. I don't mean "go...

Re: Handling around the dock
Jeff's post is right on the mark but takes practice. You can also add a bump of opposite engine forward to hold your place if you begin to drift fore or aft of your desired position. Be cautious not to put too much strain on your cleats and always make sure your line handlers have secured their line...

Re: Engine oil
I have used Rotella for years with great results. I also add a bottle of Rislone per side at oil change.
Additionally, I add a half dose of Sea Foam at fill up. I don't know if that is overkill, but people comment on how smooth they run.

Re: Changing oil queations
I have used a Fram PH 43 for years. They are getting a bit harder for fin, but I have been lucky with Autozone. For my 2 cents,, use a vacuum pump and drain oil through the dipstick hole. Is it the best way, not but It's what I have used for 18 seasons with no ill effect. Also, consider Rotella heav...

Re: 2016 RENDEZVOUS
I believe the dates are June 24-26 at Kelleys. That was the decision at last year's event to the best of my recollection. I will try to confirm. The rendezvous is a great event and a chance to talk about Ms with like minded folks.

Questions About Bad Fuel
I'm looking for some information regarding a constant topic of discussion at our marina and is not specifically related to our M's. With the price of fuel, many boat owners find that they may not run through a full tank of gas during our short Great Lakes season. Old gas, plus low hours, equals TROU...

Re: Engine dies after warming up
Question for Tranquilo. How did you rig your auxiliary tank for fuel testing? A friend is having a very similar stalling problem and we want to test fuel issues completely. fuel testing is always tricky so any thoughts would be great. Also, how bad does fuel have to be before it should not be burned...
