Re: CW rotation Build
Was hoping to hear from you FJ. Hope you are well! The only thing I am unsure of is the oiling holes in the crank seem to be drilled at an angle. Won't that affect they potential to lube journals? But I do not see a separate number for a reverse rotation crankshaft, and I know remanufaturers are mak...

CW rotation Build
Could you build a more modern CW rotation engine? Would like a 1 Piece rear main seal. I know they offer newer reman CW rotation engines -but could you do it yourself?

Starboard wont go over 2000rpm under load.
Racking my brain here. What are some things to check? Just one engine giving me grief. If I push past 2000rpm on throttle doesnt bog, just wont go any faster. Swapped carb, newer DUI ignition on SBC. Checked to make sure secondary air doors were opening on carb - mechanical secondaries in base (roch...

200 degrees at start up
closed cooled - on start up, heats up to about 200, then drops to normal. Works fine from then on. 3 years on rebuild - SBC, just started this year.

Re: 1:1 vs 1.5:1
Did this last year. I did move from 1" to 1 1/4" prop shafts. Trannys are 1.91 : 1. I have 18 x 16 4 blade props. I think the challenge is it is tough to fit a large enough prop. 18" is tight with respect to underside of boat and rudders. I am happy with the performance though. I wish...

Re: Stalling Problem
Well - narrowed my problem down to ignition module in my distributor. Just installed DUI ignition system and we are back running until the next problem. I remember Jeff saying to order the BBC plug wires because SBC are very tight, almost too short. I remembered that when I was installing the SBC pl...
