I would bring it up on the compression stroke on # 1. Pull the #1 plug. put a screw driver in the hole. "Buy hand" put a socket on the crank bolt and rock it back and forth to make sure the timing markes on the cover and balancer are at o. Them pull the dist. Look at the pump gear slot. Th...

Hello. The oil pump drive gear bellow the distributor, How ? / Or did you time it? it has to be timed. You cant just drop it in.

Hello, First I have been a mechanic for 30 years. I have owned , and worked on many boats. I would not consider an electric fuel pump an "up grade" on a carbureted system. Put a stock pump on it and drive it.

You will need the special plug wires. I think they were about 150.00 a set.

Hello. Here is my 2 cents worth. I helped a friend replace his dist,s on his 1976 32 with 318's. The DUI system . the dist physical size is quite bigger than the stock dist. The bracket/ plate the module and resistor needs to be moved a little. And their was a issue with the oil sending unit/ alt sw...

Hello ,Why did you take 16" 15 pitch Off ? Was their a problem? 16" 15 pitch cupped is the correct size.

Looking at the pic. The head gasket between the two center cylinders looks very black . The firing ring looks burnt to me . Was it running hot.

With the breakers off. Disconnect the "white" wires one at a time. Disconnect the water heater completely. Every wire going to it.
