Sherwood impellers are not natural rubber, they are Neoprene.

The Starboard engine is always going to be reverse rotation, or RH (clockwise) looking at the front of the engine.
Can't advise on your unseen water pump, but I expect you've already sorted that out. If you haven't, post a picture.
On my Sherwood pumps, with a new soft impeller, I don't worry ...

Probably not so much.
I've always stored my boat out in the weather but the only problem I had with the rain was rotting of the plywood deck in the cockpit. I replaced the plywood with HDPE sheet a few years ago and got rid of that concern.

I put a ball valve and Tee on mine. Aside from safety, also makes it easy to suck antifreeze into the engine.

Ironically, I recently needed the oil pan gasket. I found out directly that the Cometic gasket is actually not the marine version, it is the automotive. Their tech support didn't know the difference. Fortunately, although Felpro thinks the gasket kit 17350 is obsolete, my local Napa ordered it from ...

Pretty sure you can tell plywood by looking at the edge without making a fresh cut. All the doors on my 1972 are plywood, stained and varnished, as they should be. A thin panel of solid wood would be very likely to warp badly.
