Re: Engine oil, transmission fluid and filter types for Chrysler 360

No. Straight 30W. Many recommend it for these older motors. Probably not ideal if you run it in the winter.
I have 1986 454 Crusaders and a single 360 in my old 28. I plan to go to 30W in both.

Re: What should the Galvanic meter readings range between?

Mine reads .85 - .92 most of the time now. How much of a concern is this?
I added a cabled anode but it doesn't seem to change the readings. I may not have a good connection with the clip.

What do you add to the tank for the winter?
Why did you pick that one?

Getting ready to top off the tanks for the season end.

Re: Lasdrop shaft seal leak

Just to follow up for others who might be helped in the future. First I spoke with the folks at LasDrop and they were a great help. I would recommend them with respect to their technical support. As it turns out the pressure housing collar had slipped and lost the pressure on the seal causing the le...

Re: Craigslist

Speaking of Craigslist, does anyone use "SearchTempest" to search multiple craigslist areas and ebay also?
It's seems to work pretty well.

Lasdrop shaft seal leak

I have Lasdrop shaft seals on the Marinette 39 that I purchased this year. They were installed new approximately 4 years by the PO. Yesterday the starboard engine seal was leaking a small stream. It was enough to keep the bilge pump running for a while. I tightened the hose clamps that are at the en...
