Re: Nautolex - Original White w/Charcoal Stripes

The M that I’m buying comes with some leftover original print Nautalex that was produced as a special order. Supposed to be quite a bit of it. I will let you know what I find out. unfortunately there is only a couple of yards left on the roll. I will be keeping it in case I have to do any repairs i...

Re: Shorepower: 50A to dual 30A

I have a 50', one 35', and a couple of 25' 30 amp cords. Last night I hooked it up like this: 50A pole, then 50A to 30A adapter, then dual 30A splitter, then one 30A 50ft cord AND one 30A 35ft cord plugged into my boat. I will keep and eye on it and try to see what my amps are or if anything overhea...

Re: Stern railing design

"Skirt" or "splash curtain" sounds good to me. I think that I had heard that before - maybe here on this forum. It does seem to be unique to Marinette. Many sailboats have cables but not the solid fabric skirt as far as I have seen. I am definitely keeping the railing and the ski...

Re: Stern railing design

Good point.
Is that it's purpose?
Still, what is it called?

Stern railing design

What do you call the re-inforced fabric thingy that is mounted on the stern railing on Marinette's? I outlined it in red in this picture.
I don't think that I've seen it on other models of boats.
I was considering removing it. What do you all think?

Shorepower: 50A to dual 30A

My new to me boat has dual 30A shorepower with individual HVAC units on each 30A circuit. I have to plug in to a single 50A shorepower pole. I assume that the best way to connect would be a 50A cord leading to a adapter splitting to dual 30A for plugging in the boat. Would this be the safest with th...

Re: Marinette 39 Sedan Transport

Well... I got the flybridge sat back in place before the rain. RE-CONNECTING can begin.
I did get the roof painted before setting the bridge back. I used Interlux "Interdeck" Non-skid. It looks good now & I will see how it holds up.

It was our original plan, but when presented with the opportunity to avoid it, we just jumped on it. Congrats on yours too! Is it in the water yet?[/quote]

Yes. At dock where I plan to paint the rooftop (flybridge floor) and then hope to move the flybridge into place this weekend...

Re: Wanted 37 or 39 Marinette. Gulf Coast Boat.

That sounds good. I originally wished that I could talk my transporter into something like this.
However, now I'm glad that I removed the flybridge as I learned a lot about the wiring and pulled 32 years of accumulated unused wires out of the way.

Good for you.

Re: Wanted 37 or 39 Marinette. Gulf Coast Boat.

Thanks! It should be coming home at the end of next week or the week after. The transport company we went with said he could do it with the flybridge on, so I hope it all goes well! Where are you transporting it from and to? Mine was 14'8" if the from highest point if the front splash window w...
