bare bottom?

Has anyone left the bottom without any paint before? Would it be any different than a bare aluminum bottom house boat? Other than the houseboat has a larger surface area in the water.

Re: Primocon vs. Interprotect 2000E?

Thanks for all the great information! I have to bottom paint my 32' before putting her back into the water. I have a bunch of pitting I need to address and some of it is pretty deep. Whats the best process to fix with a welder(what wire?) or is it better to prime then use a filler(what type)?

Re: cushion foam smell removal

great idea on the activated charcoal. I have fish tanks so I have plenty of that stuff. I might try putting it in a filter sock then setting it behind a fan to help filter the air in the room.

Where were you? Google Earth

I found my M on google earth from before I bought it. Im assuming a lot of you guys have covered slips? Once mine is back on the water I will look for a covered slip to help preserve all the work I plan on putting into her. Too bad lake lanier's photo was taken in the winter and the lake is empty.

cushion foam smell removal

Anyone have any suggestions for removing the smell from the foam inside the cushions? My boat had a mildew problem when I got it and the room im currently storing the cushions in stinks. Im afraid after I rebuild the whole interior they will bring the smell back into the boat.

Re: Forum and Facebook

Well said! I like using both sites for different purposes. Its easier to upload videos from my phone to Facebook.........even if the videos are not always to everyone's approval.
