Re: Following Seas
No tab in a following sea and go fast enough to slowly overtake the waves. Takes a lot of work with the throttles. Been in some large following seas in 30+ blows on Erie, not fun but manageable.

Re: Alternator
I'm running a pair of these, cheap and work great. I have a large house battery bank and a pretty large stereo so I want a higher amp output. I did run a larger power wire from the alternator however. Db Electrical HO-ADR0395 Marine Alt 105 AMP Alternator for One Wire Marine Omc Prestolite 105 Amp h...

Re: Rochester divorced chokes
Bruce rebuilt my carbs and distributors this winter, Lakeland said they can't get the springs anymore but Bruce has been on vacation and they said he might have a solution, we will see. I'll try the other link out.

Rochester divorced chokes
I'm in need of a divorced choke spring for one my my Rochester quadrajets in my 318's and I can't seem to find any. Anyone have a source for the choke springs or an electric conversion kit that works? Any help would be appreciated, motors are 1987's.

Re: Bronze thru hull transducer
Thanks for the info guys!
I have 4200 fast cure for the job because I lack confidence in a modern electronic lasting a long time. The o-ring trick is a great idea. I was thinking of using liquid electrical tape where it passes through the hull but that's a much better idea.

Re: Bronze thru hull transducer
I already own the bronze through hull that does what I want, so that would be easiest. Isolating with Mylar, just a ring or larger? It has a plastic fairing that goes on the outside of the hull that will isolate. What about where it passes through the hull? Should I do something there as well? That ...

Bronze thru hull transducer
I get that this is not ideal due to electrolysis however I can't find a plastic housing through hull for my HDS10. Do any of you run bronze thru hulls? This is a freshwater boat with no ac power. Better yet anyone know of a plastic thru hull that does 50/200khz and 455/800khz?

Re: Wiring question...
They are only connected to the hull at the same place the batteries connect, there are only 2 points grounded. The white threw me, the boat doesn't have shore power at all, they are grounds. I'm going to leave them alone and ground all of my electronics and the bilge pumps on my new junction block w...

Re: Wiring question...
Sorry, I wasn't very clear, the white wires that run throughout the boat and connect on copper junctions. I assumed they were bonding wires however it appears they might just be common grounding locations.
