Re: Calcium Chloride, Will it eat my M?

Well, here's my thoughts...I have been using "Damp-rid" in my boat for 4 years now (actually 3) I use five of the small containers, strategically placed ( I have a 37' sedan), one in the head, one in the v-birth, two in the galley and one in the salon. during the weekend, while using the b...

Re: Aft Deck... Diamond plate aluminum?

My deck was converted to Al by the previous owner, with indoor/outdoor carpet on top of in. Not sure the thickness, but I think it's just screwed onto the original framework. Not sure diamond plate would be ideal, would think it would be a little rough on the feet and reflect too much sunlight.

Re: New owner engine stall issues

Tuggle, do you remember what part numbers for the DUI dist's ? I was thinking of making the same conversion. Are there two different part numbers for CW and CCW rotation? I looked on Summit racing's web site and they only list the reverse rotation part number.

Re: Under deck wood floor and "pegboard" type?

Previous owner replaced my deck with aluminum also, then put indoor/outdoor carpet on it. Have to replace the rotten carpet every few years, but not the deck !

Re: Family Boat Resurrected!

Beautiful boat, same color scheme as my 37'. The photo of the fresh engines makes a lot of gearheads like me drool. The story of her being a family heirloom reminds me of my dingy. I am planning on adding a davit to my Big M for it. boat 003.JPG This is my dingy ! She is a 1970 Wooster Hellion ! boa...

Re: New owner engine stall issues

Hi Todd, welcome aboard. Single wire alternators are the only way to go. If your battery is fully charged and she cranks slowly, misfires and stalls and the tach is acting wacky, sounds like it could be a combination of timing is out of wack and crossed plug wires. Firing order on the port engine is...
