Re: Engine Room Restoration

In my case no modification of the frame member was needed as I am not using the factory Crusader raw water pumps. We have Johnson F5B-9 crankshaft driven raw water pumps. The pumps are mounted to the crankshaft pully in front of the harmonic balancers, very easy to change impellers.

Re: Galley Restoration

Fabricated sliding cabinet door tracks out of teak for the cabinet storage under my fridge. Two black acrylic panels with stick on finger pulls installed to mimic the sliders behind the kitchen sink in the galley. I still need to trim it all out with teak molding to finish it off. Re: Engine Room Restoration

Joel, My Crusaders have easy access, user friendly remote oil filters already installed from the factory so I will not need the aftermarket setup. I really should have captured some pictures of the engines before I took a wrench to them. Please keep the good suggestions coming as I have a perfect op...

I'm pulling the blocks along with their Velvet drive gearboxes next to rebuild. The engine room itself is in for a total restoration with a few well thought out...

Re: Galley Restoration

Lots of progress today on the refrigerator cabinet. Wired both circuits AC and DC. Planked out the rough frame. Installed the main air conditioning duct, plenum box and diffuser grill. Installed and secured the fridge. I still need to make a pair of sliding doors for the cabinet below the fridge, I ...
