Re: auto pilot

i would never use it at cruising speed. i agree its dangerous. I just want to use it for trolling. Its nice to have when you help net a fish or set a rod so the boat stays straight and you dont tangle up your lines.

Re: Proper Carb Size for 318

There is all kind of articles online comparing holley vs. edelbrock. Im no expert but this is just what i ran into. The old original carter carb was not worth fixing. Most posts here led me to the 1409 so thats what i started with. I installed the carb and tuned it the best i could. The boat idled f...

Re: Proper Carb Size for 318

I just took the 1409 off my 318 after a couple years. The original Carter was leaking through the body like mentioned above. The low end adjustability of the edelbrock did not impress me at all. I do a lot of trolling and was never real happy with it. This year I put a Holley 650 single pumper on wi...

Is this at the point where it needs addressed and if so are there any recommendations on where to get one? Im just putting the final touches ...

Hey hyperjump! Nice pics! I also love in North East Ohio. Jefferson to be exact but I keep my M docked at brockways in ashtabula. I have a friend who is an engine builder who would be able to help you out with those heads if you decide you need it. Its nice to have a fellow member so close. I'm no e...

Re: Prepping for Topside Restoration and Paint.

Excellant! Thanks! I want to do the same thing soon though it probably wont be this winter. I am working on replacing the aft deck currently and then the trailer is getting an overhaul. The information you provide is appreciated and i wish you the best of luck.

Re: Replacing aft deck

I am considering replacing the afternoon deck on my 28 express with aluminum as opposed to plywood after reading some older posts. My question is what thickness is recommended and is any extra support required with doing this? Any tips would greatly appreciated as I am about to start tearing into my...
