Re: 318 Fresh water cooling circuit -something seems odd
I guess it's right. I found a schematic of the system from Sen-Dure. Thanks anyway!

318 Fresh water cooling circuit -something seems odd
I am rebuilding a 1978 Chrysler 318 with a Sen-Dure fresh water conversion that was added a few years later. Long before I acquired the boat. The routing of the freshwater circuit seems to be different than what's indicated in the Chrysler 318 service manual. In the manual, coolant is always going t...

32 Flybridge upper and lower instruments
These have been sitting for many years inside while I have been restoring my Marinette 32. I believe they all work. I'll remove the instruments from the panels and ship to you for $60. Thanks!

Marinette Boat literature
I was going through my boat paperwork pile and I found a few fun nuggets for us Marinette freaks. Here is a link to my rebuild website 1978marinette32.wordpress.com/2018/03/15/some-marinette-literature/ with three links to a Marinette manual, a Marinette brochure, and an article in trade magazine. S...

I got a free T-shirt from Progressive Insurance at the Chicago Boat Show. Does that boat look familiar?

Wood engine mount spacer thickness
I am in the process of reinstalling the 318 Chrysler engines in in my 32 FB Sedan and I noticed that the wood engine spacers are different thicknesses—by about 1/4". First I thought it was because the inboard engine stringer was lower to account for the the slope of the hull, but they appear to...

Re: Soliciting advice on how to pull my engines.
I used an engine hoist inside the cabin. Then set the motor on a furniture dolly and rolled the motor to the outside cockpit. From there I used a forklift and a jib room on the forks to lift it up and out of the boat. The motors are finished now but I'm not sure if I'll reinstall them that way. Here...

Re: Flying Bridge Restoration
Me too. I added alarms for exhaust temp, oil pressure and water temp. I decided to use Faria gauges on white quarter inch mat acrylic. I still need to fill in the etched labels so they are readable.

Re: Reverse rotation engine fresh water pump connections reversed?
The fresh water pumps on marine engines are not directional (same pump for regular and reverse rotation motors). The vanes are straight. A car water pump is directional, though. See the images

Re: Reverse rotation engine fresh water pump connections reversed?
This is a diagram of the raw water impellers, right? I am talking about the fresh water pumps bolted directly on the engine block.
