Not a huge fan of powder coat in corrosive environments. We get lots of fuel tanks and alluminum parts in powder coat for trucks and it falls off after a few years. And that's on new alluminum. Just what I've seen. Also may want to take into consideration just using a deck paint with grip. Alluminum...

Nice read, Thanks. The parts availability and cost is a huge factor. I like gm products too but, the 318/360 were great engines. Some people say they were a little doggy but I didn't think so, and they were probably stronger bottom ends then the stock 350. I'll be curious as to your thoughts once u ...

The glmc burgees are really nice quality too!! Very worth the money. We buy one every year and it gets ripped off the boat every season. It's becoming a ritual. Lol

1:1 velvets lots of torque and a little extra cup, prop magic. Doesnt hurt that the 69 has the old flat pad hull. Speed is about all it's good for.

Those numbers are solid for that rpm, I assume u weren't trying to push it? Those motors should make enough torque in that setup to run up to about 4800 rpm and that'll put you at about 35mph. I'm seeing 43-44 mph @4400, but it is not overly stable at that speed. Where we boat the water is only righ...
