Alright then. I'm new to this power boating thing having been a sailor for the last 30 yrs. I'll position it behind the brace and trust those of you with greater experience in this area.

Re: New owner/member of 26'
Sorry to not get back sooner, lots of other issues, wiring, water pump, rudder packing, bilge pumps etc.... Yeah, she's pretty cool. Mine has a Crusader 220 (305ci) Now we need trim tabs. She won't plane short of 3500 rpm. Unacceptable. Engine is strong as all get out but the prop looks a little sma...

Re: New install: Bennett Trim tabs
Hey Rodney, do the tabs still have sufficient travel being placed the some 3 1/2 " outboard ? And again, what about the transfer of pressure from the thin transom to the hull where the piston mounts to the transom.

Re: New install: Bennett Trim tabs
Thank You very much. I copied and printed your instructions. I confess to beating myself to death at the thought of drilling any hole in my boat. But still, I have a concern, (possibly unfounded) of where the stress from the piston ground will be transferred into the hull from the transom. Ron &...

Re: New install: Bennett Trim tabs
I am getting ready to install tabs on my 26' and am concerned about how to back them on the transom. How did you go about transferring the force to the hull? Did you remove the built in tabs (stationary) or attach the new ones to them? Ron

Hi, does anyone know how many 26 footers were made and what years they were in production. I have been a fan of Marinette's since the 80's when a friend lived on one of the 32's. The boat the "Minnnow" and yes the skipper was Tom Gilligan of course. Tom, if you're out there, Hi to you too.

Re: Sliding cabin screens
Hi, I have a 26' from 1967 and the screen frames are in good shape, I just can't figure out how to get them out to rescreen them. Any ideas? I don't want to destroy the frames and there has to be a better way than disassembling the windows. Help
