Re: insurance providers
National Boat Owners (NBOA) had the best rate for my 1978 '37 have been pretty happy with the customer service (though I have not had to file a claim). Their website is https://www.nboat.com/

Re: Owners Manual
I would be interested in a copy as well. Does not directly fit my boat but may help.
Re: porthole
I had two of them out on my '78 over the winter, one to replace and one to re-seal. Remove the outer trim ring and the screws on the inside, removing the outer trim should let you get in and cut the adhesive/sealant. I might still have the broken one at home and could take some pictures but there is...

Re: Ignition modules, are they all created equal in terms of quality
I believe the 2nd oil pressure switch keeps the alternator/generator off when the engine is not running - looking at the schematic last weekend and there is an oil pressure switch on the input to the voltage regulator.

Re: speed of a 37 with twin 440's
I have a 1978 '37 dual cabin with 440's - bought it last summer. with the starbord engine down on power (bad intake valve on cyl 1), it would run about 28 mph at 4000 rpm port / 3800 rpm starbord, thinking now with the head re-built it should do 30 mph at a little over 4000 rpm. It likes to cruise a...

Hatch Seal
The hatch seal on my 1978 '37 is degraded to the point where it will leak in one spot during a heavy rain. It appears to be some type of foam seal - does anyone have a source or dimensions?
Thanks

Re: 39' aft cabin waterline length
Both Gregory Boat sales in Detroit and Skipper Bud's at Belle Maer in Harrison Township have '39's for sale that I looked at before buying my '37. The one at Belle Maer is a nice boat (good paint and clean) but no canvas enclosures. The one at Gregory needs TLC, did not look at it too closely. Both ...

Re: '37 Dual Cabin Flybridge Seat Post Removal
The post does not spin in the base but it wobbles - I need figure out how to tighten that up first. Shimming the seats up 2 inches seems like an akward solution - might end up going there if there are no taller posts available but I still need to remove the post from the base.
Thanks

'37 Dual Cabin Flybridge Seat Post Removal
The left seat on my flybridge wobbles - the post moves in the base on the floor (was able to get the seat side tightned up). How do I remove the post? It moves but I cannot pull it out. I would actually like to add a few inches to all of the bridge seats by changing out the post's - has anyone done ...

Re: HOW TO: Loose Railing (Fastjeff Page)
What I meant to ask was how to remove the nuts on the existing railing - I realize the replacements are aluminum riv-nuts but what is on the boat now is machine screws and nuts - right? or are the existing fastners stainless steel screws into the aluminum deck?
