Relatively easy way to make a quick test if you can remove the case and see the speaker connection: Just clip a cheap spkr to the existing leads and see if there's audio. If not, it's a circuit issue and a quick call to the mfr can tell you whether repair is feasible. Also, if the unit has a connect...

My standard advice when one encounters symptoms you reported: Check the filter (usually cg-11) at the point where the fuel line enters the carb. It historically causes what you ran into

I believe Jeff posted years ago that he (or perhaps it was someone else) used a few nylon washers around the bolts ( between the bottom of the rail feet and the deck). There are a lot of screw in those things and if the owner doesn't mind disassembly and you reassembly, trucking may be a viable option. I thin it's primarily the drawers that stay intact

Carl: Of course, you said you were going to replace the cart's....my old eyes and very sleepy brain glossed right over that. I found the old Perkos far superior to the "modern" ones I replaced them with for a lot of money.

Urging you to put the Perko ceramic cartridges back into the filters. They last a long time and are extremely effective at getting water out of the fuel. Yes, photo above meant to show rub rail location. It appears it may be a strip of metal screwed to the rail (but my recollection is faint and the numbers could have been stamped into the rail itself.)
