Re: Leak at Prop Shaft?
I am sure the packing is original 1986. I was looking at replacing it with Palmetto Graphite imbedded seal - but I don't know what size I need (they make many 1/8" up) I guess I'll have to wait until I pull it.

Re: Help with info; data to choose a boat
I run a 28' sportsman single in lake Erie and dock in the vermillion river I find no problem docking in tight quarters once you get the hang of it. Has a tendency to veer to port in reverse

Re: 1980 28 Fisherman Hull Demo Project
I have a 1986 28’ sportsman in Vermillion and would be interested in the portside windows – I don’t understand the 4 pieces you have pictured and why only portside – mine are two pieces each side and look interchangeable?

I used Pollywall over existing panels (no adhesive just polyurethane mahogany trim to hold in place), FRP on ceilings and Nautolex floors

Rudder alignment concerns
I am a first time Marinette owner. I purchased a 1986 28’ Sportsman single screw last year. While prepping the bottom this month I noticed that the rudder is not in straight alignment with the propeller, it is set at a slight angle. I was told that this is by design to allow shaft removal. Can anyon...
