Re: LOOSE WIRE NEAR ALTERNATOR

Check this out:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/MAR-70A-6V-12V ... 3009335350

It's a noise filter for the radio and etc. Be sure you have good connections on it and you'll be fine.

Re: Marinette 39 Sedan sea trial

35 mph at 4,000 rpm? Damn good performance!

My 'plastic boat' buddy doesn't get anywhere near that performance and his boat is a gas hog. Marinettes rule!

The oil pressure switch (not the pressure gage sender) has two wires on it. Think of it as an automotive idiot light switch (which is what it's used for): Oil pressure opens the circuit and the 'light' goes out. With no oil pressure, the circuit closes and energizes a relay to shut off the 'light'. ...

Re: engines seem locked up

All good ideas. I usually get them to rotate by using a pry bar on the flywheel teeth. You get more leverage that way.

Good luck! I have a feeling you'll be okay.

Glad to hear that. I fought a starting issue on Mr. Port for 8 years and never cured it, so I appreciate your achievement.
