Re: AC/Heat units
I tried one and waste of money for me I put a 16,000 btu coleman low profile RV air unit on cabin roof and love it
Do you drive from inside? I thought about that too but like to drive from the lower station in the hot weather (getting old can not take the sun) how...

AC/Heat units
Who has used one of the newer portable Heat/AC units out there for their boat? Any feedback on how well they work? My current system works but in researching it the company is out of business and can not find parts so when it goes I most likely will just replace. Was thinking something like this wou...

Trim Tabs
Well with the boat out of the water I got a good look at the tabs. They are in good shape for a 1973 boat but after measuring it is clear why they do not level the boat off the way I expected. I have a 32' boat with 24x 9" tabs. Looking at all the guides at a minimum these should be 24 x 12&quo...

Re: Looking for a GOOD winlass
Are you still looking?
I have a spare that came off my 37' I am willing to sell.
Worked fine when I took it off, I have the controls as well but not the full harness.

Re: Trim Tabs
Boat was pulled Friday so I will get down there next weekend to test the tabs and decide what to do.
The low cost approach will be make sure everything is working and then extend the tabs out with a piece of SS bolted to the bottom of the current ones.

Re: Trim Tabs
Interesting looks like $3000 or so for my boat.
I can put a new pump on and extend the tabs for $400 lol

Re: Raw Water Intake
There are so many holes in my hull I would be surprised if you need to add a new one. 2 Motor intakes 1 Gen intake 1 Washdown intake 1 AC system intake 1 Head intake If you have it out of the water take a good look a round and make sure you can identify what each of the holes you already have do. Lo...

Re: Trim Tabs
I am debating replacing the in boat system as well I have found one of issues over time is they leak hydro fluid and stop working. This may be the issue I am having not sure yet. Has anyone tried the electric versions Bennett has a version but my 32' may be to big for them https://bennetttrimtabs.co...

Trim Tabs
Took my first long ride in the new boat. At slow speeds say trolling I can drive from lower station but once I get some speed on the bow is so far up it is hard to see. Trim Tabs brought it down a little but not enough. Will be pulling the boat out for the winter this week so no hurry to address but...
