Re: Threads for drain plug stripped.

Don't think I would use a rubber expansion plug, measure your current stripped plug and go to the next size up. If it's 3/8 go to 1/2, Lowes-Home Depot both sell tap sets, drill bit and tap so there's no mistake. Aluminum is easy to tap, take your time.

Re: Has anyone added a second fuel filler port?

Our 75 Express has one large tank, fill is on the port side. Shouldn't be to hard to add one to starboard, where the elbow connects to the tank replace with a tee, a filler for the deck and hose to each filler port. Sounds simple, may be simpler to add more nozzle hose, and cheaper.

Re: Need dock, lift, and misc advice for new to me Marinette 32!

We have a Boatfloater on our dock, freshwater, sounds like your in salt, but I will say for our application its worked perfectly for almost 10 years. Think they make them custom for very heavy boats.

Transom Door

Thinking about cutting in a transom door, who has done this, what problems did you encounter, how wide, how deep, etc. Would like to make it floor depth and as wide as possible.

Water Pump Positioning

Glad the forum is back up could have put it to use over the weekend. Bought two new water pumps, hoses, clamps and all put them on only to find I'd put them on upside down. Tried to bring up the forum for advice, still down, it was only through reading from other forums I realized what I'd done. A w...

Re: Striping

Tape the bottom and top, use a good quality tape, paint and let dry to manufactures instructions, don't do like I did ...

Re: Hard to start?

Agree with Busia comment about a long crank to get the oil pressure up. I installed primer bulb's between the tank and the fuel pump, same effect as Jeff's electrics just manual work's great, problem is there is a lot of clatter from the oil draining down from sitting, dry start NOT GOOD! Bulb's are...

Re: Cable Steering

On second thought wondering if you could not use a drill pump after the actuating cylinder, connected to the bleed valves, to really move the fluid through all the lines. I am of the opinion most of the problem with bleeding is the slow movement of the fluid, if it moved faster it would push the air...
