Re: Fuel economy

Ok, so here's a thought.. Why has no one put a "automotive" type tranny on a boat, to turn the prop faster at lower RPM's.? Instead of this direct drive system we use now for a 100 years... I would think a mechanical clutch would not be hard to configure..

1987 32 Sedan Bridge for sale...

I am just putting this out for consideration, due to my becoming a double amputee this past June, 2020.. I have a 1987, 32 foot Sedan with F/B. I have found it hard to get around on board with fake legs and no balance, so I'm thinking of selling... Yes, it needs some TLC..! Maybe a set of alternator...

Re: which prop is better

Thanks guys for the input, and answers.. I guess the best way to find out, for me, is going to be to try the new 4 blade props.. The worst that can happen is that I won't like them.! So much, that I have the boat hauled out early just to swap back to the old ones.. Being a slip owner, the haul-out i...

which prop is better

I bought my 1987, 32 Sedan-Bridge "KOKOMO" last August. It was in the water when I took delivery. ( After the sea trial ) And it had a set of 3 blade props on it.. However, along with the boat came a brand new, never in the water, set of "bronze looking", 4 blade props for "...

Re: Gas fillup, dilemma over

As for me, the marina was charging 3.99-9 per gallon. ($4.00) I get and haul 100 gallons each trip in my transfer tank, and last year at the bulk plant I paid between $1.89 to $2.09-9, per gallon.. Last year I used 1000 gallons of fuel.. My boat has two, 100 gallon tanks.. In one season I saved $190...

Re: Gas fillup, dilemma over

I have a 100 gallon transfer Tank in the back of my pick-up truck, and I haul my gasoline to the boat from the bulk plant. I get pure gasoline, most of the time, although I have also used 10% Ethanol in the boat, during the summer months. I have not had a problem in the last 40 +/- years that I have...

Re: Help! Scentry 410 Vapor Sensor

I had the same model on my 32' Express, it always said we were good to go.. Even when I had fuel spraying out of the fuel filter on to the HOT manifold..! I don't trust them..! If my nose says something's not right, then I'm looking for the problem, if the nose says I'm good to go, then I'll go..! J...

Re: Solar panels & house bank

I had a 1968 32 foot Express, I put two solar panels in a set, 200 watts, (100 watts each) on the helm station hard top. They ended the low battery voltage issue I had, every time I came to the boat and wanted to start it up.. What's more, the new owner has had no problems with the batteries being l...

Re: New member with questions, Sedan 32

Hello Ed, and welcome aboard.. I am a double amputee with carbon fiber legs.! I have a "87" 32' sedan with fly bridge.. I just got married last December 30th, and the new wife has no boating history. I have been slowly teaching, as I run the boat, single handed. "KOKOMO" has twin...

Re: blower vent hose

I once used dryer vent hose on a searay 260 sundancer I had. I got the hose from Lowe's, and it lasted almost as long as it took to install it.! Really it didn't last a full boating season.! However, that being said, the searay exposed the ends of the hose to sun and weather, but the "M's"...
