Re: Has anyone added a second fuel filler port?

My 1968 Express has twin 318's but one large 125 gallon tank, which fills on the port side.. That big tak sits across the mid- aft bilge, and runs side to side.. However, my 87 Sedan has twin 360's and two 100 gallon tanks. One for each side, running fore and aft.. I would like to trade the 100 gall...

Re: Bow & Stern thrusters

I for one single hand a 32 Express with twin 318's, and a 32 sedan w/ fly bridge, and 360's. I would LOVE, and I mean LOVE, to have thrusters.! One or both.! I also am a double amputee. And as such, I can't always get a line on before the wind sends me out of my slip, AGAIN..! I also plan to do the ...

Re: 1986 or later 32' Marinette Express (No Bridge)

I have a 1968, 32 foot Express ( No Bridge ), and a 1987 32 foot Sedan Bridge. One of these will be put up for sale, soon. Later this season.. However I'm not sure yet which one. Due to becoming a double amputee last June, I am not sure which one will work out best for me, and my situation, until I ...

Re: Fuel economy

Thanks for the reply, and sorry it's been so long getting back to the post. That really explains a lot, as far as I'm concerned. When I first fell in love with boating, my grandfather said B.O.A.T. stood for "break out another twenty", but now you can't get a good coffee maker for $20.! An...

Re: Fuel economy

Ok, so here's a thought.. Why has no one put a "automotive" type tranny on a boat, to turn the prop faster at lower RPM's.? Instead of this direct drive system we use now for a 100 years... I would think a mechanical clutch would not be hard to configure..

1987 32 Sedan Bridge for sale...

I am just putting this out for consideration, due to my becoming a double amputee this past June, 2020.. I have a 1987, 32 foot Sedan with F/B. I have found it hard to get around on board with fake legs and no balance, so I'm thinking of selling... Yes, it needs some TLC..! Maybe a set of alternator...

Re: which prop is better

Thanks guys for the input, and answers.. I guess the best way to find out, for me, is going to be to try the new 4 blade props.. The worst that can happen is that I won't like them.! So much, that I have the boat hauled out early just to swap back to the old ones.. Being a slip owner, the haul-out i...

which prop is better

I bought my 1987, 32 Sedan-Bridge "KOKOMO" last August. It was in the water when I took delivery. ( After the sea trial ) And it had a set of 3 blade props on it.. However, along with the boat came a brand new, never in the water, set of "bronze looking", 4 blade props for "...

Re: Gas fillup, dilemma over

As for me, the marina was charging 3.99-9 per gallon. ($4.00) I get and haul 100 gallons each trip in my transfer tank, and last year at the bulk plant I paid between $1.89 to $2.09-9, per gallon.. Last year I used 1000 gallons of fuel.. My boat has two, 100 gallon tanks.. In one season I saved $190...

Re: Gas fillup, dilemma over

I have a 100 gallon transfer Tank in the back of my pick-up truck, and I haul my gasoline to the boat from the bulk plant. I get pure gasoline, most of the time, although I have also used 10% Ethanol in the boat, during the summer months. I have not had a problem in the last 40 +/- years that I have...
