Portable generator usage?
I have a 32 Sedan FB without a built in genset. I purchased a Generac 7117 inverter generator to use with shore power adapters. I have used it a few times buy just hooking it up to shore power. Is there a problem with this method? I was wondering if it is a problem to have the shore power plugged in...

Re: Raw Water Pump Rebuild?
Water pump came in very good quality. Engine runs better then ever since rebuild. Thinking the odd noises I was hearing were the bearings on the pump wearing out since engine replacement. I would buy from rawpump.com again!

Raw Water Pump Rebuild?
Engine started to over heat on my last outing and found the raw water pump not turning. It appears the bearings went out. I have pulled it and am looking for advice on rebuilding it. I see kits for 139 and replacement units for over 300. It looks like I need a puller to get the bearing housing and b...

Bare Bottom?
I found that I need to add some bottom paint to my 32 this afternoon. When talking to the marina owner he informed me the 32 that has been in the water for 30 years had a bare aluminum bottom. He said the guy had it stripped thinking the electrolysis spots are due to pin hole openings in the paint a...

Re: Dual Helm switching procedure/rudder issue
I did. Not sure if I am using the right terminology but it thinks its called the keyway. The piece that the linkage connects to that slides down on the square shaft that connects to the rudders. There is a cotter pin under the keyway that sheered off and allowed the key to drop a couple inches. Just...

Dual Helm switching procedure/rudder issue
Is there a recommended procedure for switching from lower to upper helm and vise versa? I'm having an issue when I turn the wheel all the way to port all I get is a strait rudder. When I turn all the way starboard it is a very slight angle. Generally I put the wheel in the middle then pull and turn ...

Re: LM 318 140 thermosts
I went with these 160 degree fail safes after loosing an engine due to a thermostat failing closed. I can watch the temp go from 160 to 180 then back down to 160.

Re: rear couch/bed
I don't have any drawings but mine just happens to be in my garage right now since I am finishing up an engine replacement. I set it out on my trailer and snapped a couple pics for you. If you are looking for a specific measurement let me know. Notice the back does not have a 90 degree angle. Its mo...
