1985 '28 Sedan Flybridge for sale
Located on Lake Michigan in Waukegan IL. Stored inside right now. On Craigslist and posting to Facebook Marketplace soon. Would love for it to go to a Marinette enthusiast. It's been in the family since 1985 and a lot of good times. https://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/boa/d/waukegan-marinette-sedan-f...

Re: Understanding the CAPAC
Having a bit of trouble understanding this post. Is low bad or is high bad or both? I have a 28 sedan and the meter shows it should be around .9 I am reading 1.2. The water on Lake Michigan is pretty cold right now and there is a lot of water current going on now in the harbor so the water isn't as ...

Re: Fuel System Restoration: Tanks to Carbs...
I finally found adapters at a random NAPA store while on another mission. Still contemplating replacing whole fuel system(winter project) I did finally figure out my problem, distributor springs too tight (see 318 ignition post).

Re: 318 ignition system
I don't want to jinx myself but I think I found the problem. Petronix distributor shipped with silver springs which was also acknowledged earlier in the forum. I wasn't getting any advance until 2200 rpm. I finally got some decent weather and was able to run again. Both engines crapped out this time...

Re: 318 ignition system
Thanks guys. I agree Jeff! I actually replaced the plugs last weekend and was very careful. I'm going to try to take it out and see. Timed it by RPM's in the dock got it up to 1800 in gear runs like a champ. Didn't want to take it higher. Lake Michigan has been brutal on the west side. Looking for a...

Re: 318 ignition system
I'm back! Jason helped me out with the installation of my pertronix distributors. His advice was right on because I have a starboard engine running right on. Now back to the port. I get to right around 1500 under load and the engine dies. Sometimes with back fire through the carbs. I have been chasi...

Re: Fuel System Restoration: Tanks to Carbs...
My check valve was removed from the problem side. On advice of another mechanic, I'm going back to spark. Might be the way I installed my distributor. I'm going to continue on that thread. Hopefully someone has an answer because this is perplexing. (Again, my screw up but how else do you learn)?
