I’d use a green scuff pad instead of the wire brush.

I also love the HOT water suggestion. I was worried about the soap getting gummy, that should work well. I'll see if I can get it cleaned up - and I do know where I can get a new sump setup, so I should be covered.

Head shower pan
Does anyone have an explanation or a diagram on how the shower pan in the head is plumed? I have a 32 express and dumped a bit of soap onto the metal shower pan and I am not sure how much got in there - but it was a goopy mess. I'm not sure if the weep holes in the v channel are clogged or where the...

I understand how you created the O ring now>> Hollow tubing + wire that fits inside as a 'shim' for the end, then cement to compete the ring.
I just wasn't seeing it before.
