Re: Canvas top

Wow. You mean you did the canvas work too? Don't suppose you have a picture of frame and top?

Canvas top

Ahoy! Looking to put a canvas top on my 1962 30' M to cover the back deck area. I believe it had one at one point. Has anyone installed one? Guessing I'm going to have to bend up a frame structure or do the folks who make the top do that too?

Re: Engine rotation confusion

Does make difference on alternator because there's a fan on the front (behind the pulley) that draws in air to cool the alternator.

Re: Engine rotation confusion

Wow. Is that post ever confusing. Is the moral of the story that rotation is determined by standing at the stern (aft) and observing rotation?

Engine rotation confusion

I'm a little confused about engine rotation. I have a single engine. As I view the engine from the front, rotation is CCW. As I view it from the rear, rotation is CW. There seems to be differing opinions on whether rotation is determined from the front or rear of the engine. The reason I'm asking is...

Re: Sealed cooling system

Closed cooling is the way to go. MFG's used raw water cooling to keep costs lower and profits higher. My next repower will be closed cooling! Any boat that is used in salt closed is pretty much a must. Most do not flush raw systems after EVERY use and engines often are trashed in 5 years in FL. saf...
