Re: Questions about desire to re power a 32 Sedan with outboards

The total cost of such an endeavor would likely cost more than the entire boat. I'm not saying not to do it, just one of the many considerations you will need to address. A new 250 outboard is going to run you roughly $17-20k, Buying a bracket to handle that outboard is going to cost a few thousand ...

Re: Pulpit Restoration

Carl is/was a valuable member of this forum. He did an amazing job of fixing up his boat. I don't know why he left or deleted his content. Let's just hope that he feels compelled to come back and share his knowledge.

Re: Boat in the wet, but shafts won't drip

Is it just me or does the engine alignment look way off?

Re: 318 ignition system

First thing I would do is a compression test, popping through the carb under load could be ( among other things) a blown head gasket or it could have a valve or two not seating.

Re: A sad day

Thank you all for the kind words and prayers. It has been over 2 months now, but still feels like it happened yesterday. Still trying to figure out this new " normal ". It sucks. I come from a very large family, as does my wife. We also live in a small tight community. The outpouring of su...

Re: Chrysler 318 reverse rotation roller camshaft

ZF Hurth transmissions, which most models are full reversing, usually have the same bolt pattern as a velvet drive. I think the 63A model would be the one you would need. Then you could build your magnums both standard rotation and use the tranny's for the opposite rotation.

Re: A sad day

Thank you Carl and all others that have sent their condolences. I'm still at the stage where I can't go 5 minutes without it drop kicking me in the gut. My wife and family seem to be adjusting a little better than myself, but they also fall apart frequently. The enormous hole that is left in our hea...

A sad day

Early morning June 17, 2018, during a massive storm, a hillside behind my house gave way, collapsing a basement wall and trapped my sleeping 12 year old son, Thatcher, under feet of debris. I was able to dig him out with help. But all the local roads were washed out and emergency personal were unabl...

Re: Running light bulbs

You can usually get by with changing just the bulb out to led, or the whole fixture if you felt like it.
