I don't think the brand matters. I used a mercruiser sync gauge and module on chrysler 318's, and it works fine when I switched over to chevy 350's.

I am pretty sure that big M's came stock with Michigan Wheel props. Acme uses a different blade design than the old Dyna Jet props.

They can use the old shafts for the rudders if they are 1".

On the camshaft or whatever turns the distributor maybe, but the distributor just has the slotted shaft coming out of it.

I don't know the specifics, but when I had a pair of 1975 318's, I ordered two of the exact same Mallory distributors. The only difference was that the reverse engine had the collar that went over the distributor shaft. They both worked great.

My 75 28 ft has an A/C panel on the port side of the steering console. It has a main on/off and a few breakers for outlets and electric stove. The DC panel is hanging from the hardtop above the console, it has breakers for bilge pump, horn, etc. Your boat might just have switches that are fused next...

You would also have to change your shaft packing gland.
