Re: Need some advice

Sorry to hear about the sinking. You did not mention what took her down? The reality is in the boat world a '67 M sedan that has been on the bottom is worth salvage of aluminum. If the hull is sound and you have the funds and you love the boat; you can bring her back! Now the good news may be: If yo...

Re: Pertronix Distributor Test

While on this topic it got me thinking. Since I rarely run my boat more than 2,500 rpms and most of the time less and off plane... If I use one weak and one strong (return side for strong) Does anyone know if that would improve fuel economy at lower speeds since advance starts at around 1,000 rpms a...

Re: Pertronix Distributor Test

Thanks for posting the link from the other site! Pertronix has been fantastic during this test. I was concerned this spring that I did not have a spare cap and rotor. Roger W. from Pertronix came through again!! Few days later the spare arrived no charge for use during the test. I am using the sprin...

Re: DC Bonding

Just so everyone knows what the topic is addressing. 1. Our M's have two main grounding points on most it is on the forward bulkhead an ear where the negative ground cable goes from the battery directly to this point. 2. Other ground busses are located at each station and that ground wire also goes ...

Re: Pertronix Distributor Test

Will inspect and photograph and post results if I can figure out how to post a picture on this site. resized_STBD Dist 42014_320x569.jpg Here is a photo taken at spring start up. You can see it is in pretty good shape. (boat in water all winter) You can see the corrosion at the pivot points on the w...

Re: AC wire ? Water heater replacement?

Here is a source for the correct wire for your water heater install.

I would use 12 ga since a heater can draw 1,500 watts.
