Re: Fuel economy

I just completed a 140 mile trip to move from one marina to another. At about half way I had to fuel up so after starting with a full tank I logged 67 miles from marina 1 to the refuel marina. I took 70 Gal of gas to fill her back up. I was running around 13-14 MPH slower coming out of the marina an...

Re: 1966 26' Express Chevrolet 350 Conversion

Interesting I can not find a OMC model A 990336 D I can fine parts for the A version.

I would say contact a OMC shop that provides parts for old motors and have them research it for you

Who rebuilt them?
Fresh water, I have the heat exchangers one is new.
They were rebuilt by a machine shop in the area that has since gone out of business

Re: Cockpit hard top

Looked at Joe's boat pictures, great work!

This might be doable, I have a 37" aft cabin I am scrapping. I could cut the aft deck off and then fit it to the new boat. Have to do some measuring I am sure it is wide enough need to check the length.

Nice winter project.

Cockpit hard top

Anyone on here ever made their own hardtop frame? I have a 32" express right now has a bimi top covering the cockpit which is good for now but was considering replacing at some point. Was just wondering how practical it would be to make an aluminum frame with 1" tubing would be stronger th...

Re: 37' Aft cabin needs to go

They were fresh water cooled
Local machine shop/garage it was a few years ago and the shop closed
The motors are sitting in my garage, never been installed assembled except carbs, ignition, exhaust manifolds and brackets alt etc. I could not get it back in the boat if I had attached all the parts.
