I sanded the crud off as it was like a layer of paint. Not a fun job, but paint will not stick well to crud.

I think the cams are different. The gear on the reverse rotation engine camshaft is ground so that the distributor still turns the same way. Also on the tranny, model is important. I am working on 2 crusaders to replace my tired 360 Chryslers, and the trannys turn opposite the input shaft. So, starb...

Think it depends on how much time and money you want to invest. For some, boats are their hobby, so it makes sense to enjoy the sense of accomplishment you feel from taking on such a project. My M never sunk, and I feel like there is plenty of projects to keep me busy! Best of luck!

That is an amazing story. I had to go about 500 miles with my 32' and it ran $1800 on a hydraulic trailer. I understand if you find the boat you want, you find a way to pay for it and get it home. Only get to do this life thing one time. Your in Texas, so no "boating season" for you. It's ...

That looks great. I was going to look at restoring all of my Aquameter guages - um I think not. They wanted $1800 to restore 2 speedometers. That really looks nice.

2 standard rotation engines?
Can you use 2 standard rotation engines, and just change the rotation on one of the Velvet drives??
