Sure doesn't look right to me. Nothing like that should be located in the engine room. 12 volt DC fuse boxes, regardless of manufacturer, usually put any fuse blocks inside the cabin, possibly near the helm. Mine has it too, but is engraved into the aluminum door frame of the engine compartment. I have seen many boats with this type of number printed or tacked on somewhere in the engine bay, someplace. Bummer. Can you post pictures? Maybe it's not as bad as you may think. I saw another M that was full of rain water, same situation, on craigslist about a year ago (was this yours?) Wow, glad to see her back on the water so quickly. Some fellows go crazy and do a full restoration all at once. I just tackle one project at a time so I can enjoy the fun of owning her more.
I can tell you mine, not sure if 318 and 360's are the same. Mine is also a 1975 with 360's and Sherwood single pocket raw water pumps and use a NAPA number 25-7430 for the raw pump and a 25-7459 for the alternators. Hope this helps, still have the old ones?
