Re: Oil filler gasket- 318/360
If I recall I have 2 flat gaskets under my breathers and you may also be able to bend up the wings to make it fit a bit tighter. The oil fill caps only have a single gasket, I think.....They seem to fit more snug than the breathers.

Re: Connected Fuel Tanks?
Marinette used a crossover with the dual tank setup. You could run each tank independently, both or only 1 at a time depending on the valve config. If the senders are original they may be worn out especially if there is/was water in the tank. Check the wiring at the tanks and at the gauges. I have f...

Re: 1977 37 ft Sedan Bridge - Electrical fault
Keep an eye on the charger fuses. Looks like the batteries are newer but one may be bad/failing and causing the charger to pop a fuse. Can you verify battery voltage while trying to crank that engine that wont start? I'd bet either the starting solenoid or battery is bad. Generally those are the 2 m...

Re: 1977 37 ft Sedan Bridge - Electrical fault
Hi alps, I spoke with the previous owner of the '76 that I worked on. He bought it in 1995 and it had the red Guest battery switches in the engine room. I'm assuming the original owner did the upgrade. One rotating switch should be for the port battery and the other for the starboard battery. Do you...

Re: 1977 37 ft Sedan Bridge - Electrical fault
Hmmm. I thought by 1977 Marinette was using different battery switches unless a previous owner did some custom wiring. The toggle switches on each side look different too. The 2 center toggles almost look like momentary/ignition??? Nothing is labeled..... I'm not totally sure how the late 70s models...

Re: 1977 37 ft Sedan Bridge - Electrical fault
Jeff makes some good points about electrical issues. Also keep in mind if you are trying to charge a really dead battery be sure all the cells are full of water and be extra aware of gassing that may occur during charging. It might be a better idea to remove the battery from the engine room and char...

Re: Download Manuals & Documentation
I'm fairly confident the owners manual is generic to most Marinettes except perhaps the very original deck boat models. At the very least you should get a "10,000 foot" overview for your particular Marinette with these manuals.

Re: 1977 37 ft Sedan Bridge - Electrical fault
The rotating switches in the engineroom (usually red & black in color) should be the battery switches and will prevent equipment and engines from powering on. You generally want them all on unless one of them is a combination switch that can combine more than 1 battery for an extended period of ...
