When I had to put new engines in I looked at rebuilt 318's and found that you can't get parts. Best price was try to (maybe) find parts and piece together two engines at over 8,000 each. Here's what I made for mine. I was putting a new bottom on so put an eye on too. I can pick the front of the boat up with this eye.

Need info on steering

Anybody have info on the steering on a '77 32 foot model? Is it a Morse brand cable system? Can I pull the inner cable out and leave the outer sheath? How do I get it apart at the helm? Where can I get parts? Any help would be greatly appreciated--Ed

Don't you know you can't teach an old dog new tricks?? Well you can, but it takes patience and with my puppy, salmon treats help. For me, it's just keep trying. Thanks for the new site and all the work moving and keeping it running. The only thing is I have to be retrained and it's hard to learn new...

Try this again... I have a reply saved as a draft here somewhere... I put a new deck of aluminum down. Will be about the same cost as wood, and I can pull it to work down below. Just screw it down with countersunk scews. Had it up this spring to put in a new aluminum gas tank. Now no more rusty stee...
