Re: My Second 28ft Marinette (twin engine 318) enclosed cabin

Well, got the 79 delivered last Thurs, an extra $200 delivery fee (hotel stay) Late pickup, Marinas fault. Oh well...Why chance a last min Cancel over it. I got in a couple of test rides in before winterizing last night. Did better at first.... then likely fuel issues caused one engine to fail off a...

Removing the factory cabin vinyl from old wood panels

I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to remove the factory cabin side wall vinyl from the old wood and use it over new wood or PVC ?
I'm trying to keep the factory look inside if possible. A heat gun seams to help very little....that is one tough glue!

28' twin engine trailer bunk spacing?

Can anyone tell me what the width between the twin 318s struts are or if a 61" bunk width with a 14" distance forward of transom would work? I hoped to use my single engine, 3 axial trailer for my twin engine boat. If it wont work, I need to get busy and look for one fast :? . Thanks for t...

Trailer? for 28ft Marinette (twin engine 318) enclosed cabin

Can anyone tell me how wide the bunks need to be for a 28' twin engine? My bunks on my single engine are 61" between and 14" ahead of transom.
I need to know ASAP the delivery is coming soon.....I need a trailer ready to pick it up from the marina.
Thanks

My Second 28ft Marinette (twin engine 318) enclosed cabin

Well....Wife was not too impressed with the condition of the first 1973 28 footer and I myself wondered about controlling a single screw in tight places / marinas. So.... I did a little more looking around and found this 1979 model and made a deal on it: http://www.yachtworld.com/core/listing/boatDe...

Re: New Member with new to me, a "73 28' Marinette Single 318 eng

Thanks for the nice WELCOME from you all. This is by far the biggest boat I have ever owned. I have owned a small marine shop for the last 25 here in the mountains. https://www.facebook.com/High-Country-Canvas-Marine-Inc-158092830871847/ I don't mean to advertise, because we are always busy with ple...

New Member with new to me, a "73 28' Marinette Single 318 eng

Hi all, I'm going to do my part in preserving / restoring a 28" Marinette single 318 that I just bought last week from Tn. River. I'm not sure the difference between a Sedan or an Express? A hardtop is full length over the aft deck...Right? A Fisherman has no top, but a fly-bridge...right? Is a...
