Re: Topside paint question

Painted mine with Rustoleum Topside, used the "roll-tip" method. It is important to wait the 24 hours specified between coats. Have done the hull and the stripe, will finish the rest when it warms up a little. So far it has gone on easily and looks great.

Re: Can you help me with a model, size, etc?

A friend had an old houseboat back from the 60's with an Eaton Outdrive, white, Dana and OMC both date back to the 60's, white also. Parts, although few and far between, are still available. Sound familiar?

Re: Bimini Top

Oh I need plenty of couching, no my frame has seen its better days, thought I'd just bite the bullet and replace it all. Now on our pontoon boat we did use corrugated plastic sheeting, with H joiners, over the frame which has proven to be very durable as well as cost effective.

Re: Block Heater

Yes we boat year round on Lake Lanier, about 35 miles NE of Atlanta. Although temperatures here are mild for the most part from time to time they fall low enough to burst a block.

Block Heater

Anyone use a "Block Heater"? Have a bilge heater with a blower that comes on 40 degrees, seems to work fine but if it were to fail things may not be good. Was looking at magnetic block heaters along with a thermo cube, a small thermostat that comes on at 35 degrees. Hopefully if the main h...

Re: Air Conditioning

When we purchased our 32 it had a Dometic 15000 BTU already installed. Since I've added an Air King Floor Fan under the steps, had to cut the handle off, and a small oscillating fan on top of the cabinet between the table and bath. With the A/C set on 7-8 and the fans on low you can almost hang meat...

Re: Hull Rub Rail M39

Marinette had rub rail about a year ago. If I remember correctly the shipping was high, considered oversized. I'm missing about 4' too.

Re: 318 to 350 swap

Your a glutton for punishment, the fitment issues you discussed was what turned me back to the 318's. Are you running 71C's with 1" shafts?
