Re: Engine dies after warming up

I have the same boat only 1972. I encountered the same problem just last week and found that after changing fuel filters the problem went away. The inline filter was pulling trash to the outlet and after the engine quit the trash was released back to the filter until I ran her again. Just a thought....

Re: Prop Sizes?

Looks like I'm going to finally launch next week and can run the boat enough to figure out what To expect. Tach isn't working so I can't tell what rpm I'm turning at wot. I do know that from about half throttle to wot there's very little increase in speed. The boat has 11 x 42 trim tabs so surely I ...

Re: Prop Sizes?

Since I have a 14/10 instead of the correct 14/9, what are we talking about as far as performance?

Re: Prop Sizes?

I have a 72 28' Express, Single 318 that is running a Michigan 14RH10, believe the shaft size is 1" but someone else will have to verify that. Boat is new to me and only drove it 5 miles to load on the trailer, were it still sits, so can't verify if this is the original size prop. The original ...

Re: Just Saying

Pulled up the Jamestown Website and now understand the roll and tip. Will try that tomorrow morning, may go get a foam roller and hit the thinner heavy and see what happens. Hoping two coats are enough. Ain't doing this again.
Thanks Guys,

Re: Just Saying

Blue Water Marine, Mega Gloss Gold, semi gloss, Silicone Copolymer. The hull was painted in 2007 with the same paint and has held up very well. I'm using a 6" cabinet roller, per your advice, and bought a real good brush for the trim. I believe my problem was not enough thinner. At some point, ...

Just Saying

So, I woke up stupid one morning last December and decided, Hell, I'm only 71 years old and in good shape, I've got time to get another boat. Had seen my first Marinette, a 1961' 31' single AMC and fell in love. Made an offer and after waiting a week with no response, moved on to my second choice, 1...

Re: Rails

Ordered what I needed from my local Fastenall store and should have by Thursday. Your explanation turned the light on for me and I see how it's supposed to work.

Thanks

Re: Rails

Thanks for the help. I have looked at the video on the homemade tool to install but can't really see enough to figure out how it works. If you can shed some light on that it would be appreciated.

Thanks again,

Rails

I have my rails removed in preparation for topside paint this week and have decided to rework the screw holes using the aluminum rivet nuts as mentioned in earlier post. McMaster Carr is showing two thicknesses available and I'm sure one of you guys knows which one is needed. Thickness ranges shown ...
