Re: Shaft logs
First: Why can you stick your hand through it? Corrosion, Damage? The log MUST align properly with the strut. If not welded properly or out of alignment... it will not last long and will further complicate operation. The shaft DOES NOT TOUCH THE LOG. The log also need to be the same grade aluminum a...

Re: How do you make coffee at anchor?
I keep it simple on the hook.. I dumped the old Kenyon Electric Stove years ago. Also hated the pressurized Kenyon stoves. I purchased an Orion Alcohol stove 10 years ago and never looked back. Re: capac
Do all the above. Many of us use a Mag. anode in fresh water and hang it over the side while at the dock. There are available at boatzincs.com The mag. anode will help save your fixed anodes and the mag. Also check the calibration of your CAPAC meter. There is a small adjuster on the face of the pla...

Re: cost to paint?
Prices for "Professional" application will wildly vary. As we all know it is ALL in the prep. You can figure a marina yard will need to tie up inside space to do a proper Algrip application. ALL hardware needs to be removed and properly prepared and etched and barrier coat, fairing etc etc...
