Hate to say it, but problems like that ALWAYS return. At least you'll be ready for it.

Good luck.

Re: Just saying

I sympathize with you--God how I do!

After going through this nonsense EVERY spring for a decade, I've come to the conclusion that boats take offense at being 'abandoned' all winter--it hurts their feelings, so they take it out on us in the spring.

How else can one explain it?

Re: Ignition modules, are they all created equal in terms of quality

Early Mopar setups used remote alternators, and this switch was used to energize the fields. Not needed with modern alternators that have self-contained electronic regulators.

Re: Sensor on back of Intake manifold.....

One thing I never got right on my 32 footer (as the new owner will attest) is cleaning that damn bilge. I scrapped Black Crap until I was black in the face; I used solvent, and once even tried oil absorbent. (What a mistake; it rained overnight and....) It still looks like crap.

Re: Ignition modules, are they all created equal in terms of quality

Go to AutoZone and buy two of theirs for 30 bucks (or less) apiece. They work fine, and you' get a ? month warrantee with them. Either 4 or 5 pin modules will work the same! I had one of each on mine for years. Apparently, auto stores stocked a zillion of these things over the decades and can't get ...

Re: 360 oil treatment

I have the solution: Lucas Oil Stabilizer. Added it to my starboard engine and it works brilliantly! Here's what's happening: The lifters are leaking down on you after sitting (especially if the motor is slow starting up after sitting a while). Add a bottle of this magic stuff and the problem will g...

Re: sherwood kit

Had no trouble finding a new one. Was a Sherwood 6B or something or other.

What model is yours?
