Re: Dri-Dek

It keeps stuff dry, but collects stuff under it. You can hose it down many times, then pick it up and you will be shocked at what has accumulated. Another vote for this assessment and that of Lewis. It does protect the deck but dust, dirt are trapped even in an area you hose down or gets rained on....

Re: 12 volt dome lights

Probably about 15 yrs ago, I bought an anchor light replacement from them. easy to install though some small mods were needed to replace the existing Perko. Th...

Re: MetalHead now owns the Marinetteboat site.

Joe. . .thanks for all the many, many, many hours of hard work you put in not only developing this site and maintaining it but getting the previous one straightened out. And best of luck to the new proprietor. It will be interesting to see whether site users feel committed enough to provide the fina...

Re: Sunken 32`

With water sitting in the boat that long, the first step should be to discard non-reusable stuff asap-est and spray everything with a mild bleach solution to kill the mold that almost certainly has started to grow. If you don't stop that stuff in its tracks you will have a permanent unwanted conditi...

Re: Need source for 16x15 1.25 props

Two sources I have heard about (never did business with either) are Michigan Wheel and Black Dog props in MD. Both should be stock used or reconditioned units that should be suitable as spares. Assuming you have twins, you'll need a pair because of the reverse rotation setup.

Re: Following Seas

That's classic Marinette behavior. I used to call it the Charlie B (boat name) hula. Boat was a 1988 32' FBS sedan. I tried hard to ride the back of a wave for as long as possible. Took some timing and throttle adjustment. In higher seas, tried hard to avoid running downhill and getting nose stuck i...

Re: Fuel Filter

Jeff Perry used an inexpensive in-line filter quite effectively. There is (at least there was on my 318) a little fingertip sized filter where the fuel line enters the carb. Jeff might respond here and point you to details on what he used. A lot cheaper than installing a pair of spin ons. I thought ...
