Re: Bow Rail Splice Insert

Changing out the whole piece of bow rail either side is out of the question because the aft section is one solid run without anymore splices and the forward section runs out around my pulpit with everything perfectly bent and aligned, vertical bow rail supports in place and the deck screw holes all ...

Bow Rail Splice Insert

I have the exterior of my boat completely stripped in preparation for painting the topsides. The fly bridge is also gutted awaiting removal. When I went to disassemble and remove my bow rail I could not separate one splice, rail to rail on the Port side, I tried everything, penetrating oil, pipe wre...

Re: Non Chrysler Engine Options

I bought my 1990 32' Sedan in November 2014 and it was full of "Stuff", I mean every drawer, cabinet and cubby hole was just packed with all of the previous owners "Stuff". I sorted through everything, one pile of trash here, another pile of goods going to Goodwill there and the ...

Re: Fuel Tank Removal

Upon removal of the tanks I will indeed perform a full inspection of them in and out. They look very good from the five exterior sides I can see but it is the bottom and interior I have yet to inspect. When I removed my aluminum water tank I inspected it thinking I might need to install a new poly t...

Fuel Tank Removal

I searched the site but could not find any posts regarding the removal of the fuel tanks. I currently have the aft deck completely removed from my boat and I'm taking advantage of the access to tend to my Hynautic's steering, Blowers and Bennett Trim Tab system. It was also a perfect time to clean m...

Re: Sliding Window Poly Glide

I really like the idea of reversing the rails so that the screens are on the interior, I can see how that would work and it would not take me much to switch one pair as I only removed one pair to date. Thank you for sharing that option, I never saw that coming and what an awesome and simple upgrade!...

Re: Sliding Window Poly Glide

Once I get home and settled I will place the material on eBay for you, this will be the easiest way for me to market it, sell it and ship it. It is truly a nice material, the perfect replacement for the original Poly Glide. It was a little painful financially and a bit of a gamble to dish out the mo...

Re: Sliding Window Poly Glide

Update on the Poly-Glide material: I pulled my first pair of windows out from the salon, these happened to be the aft pair on the starboard side and as a result they were both square panes. I removed all four lengths of the aluminum track, the horizontal top and bottom frames, and the shorter vertic...

Topside/Exterior Paint

Which paint is preferred to paint my topsides? I will be painting by hand. Any advice on paint brands/primers would be most appreciated.

Re: Sliding Window Poly Glide

Gentlemen, Thank you for the comments/input. I will continue to search for a suitable material and share it with you when I find it. Today I spoke with a very helpful technical advisor in a plastics company I found online, all he needs from me is accurate measurements to confirm they can fulfil my n...
