Marinette in BoatUS

The Feb/March issue of BoatUS magazine has a very interesting article on the Erie Canal. On pg 36, the first page of the story, features a picture of a 60's Marinette exiting a lock. Beautiful boat, has NY registration numbers on it. Anyone ever seen it or familiar with it? Love the paint scheme. Ch...

Re: boat lifts

I know I saw an M on craigslist or someplace, for sale and the photo's were taken while the boat was on the owner's lift. A google search may show it. May give an idea where to put the bunks.

Re: Long shot

Catching up on some older posts as I don't get to visit the forum as often as I used to. Yikes indeed Jeff. But you would probably be surprised how many hidden electrical components get to this point when neglected. The Mopar distributor is actually very simple with few parts and easy to rebuild. Th...

Interesting question on AL repair

Bummer, during the summer, hit a sandbar between Bay Point and Cedar Point on Lake Erie. Anyone familiar with the area know that the bar is constantly shifting and this summer was closer to the Sandusky Bay channel than I thought. At any rate, spent 800 bucks fixing the props and found that now have...

Re: 41' '88 Marquis - General questions on

I have seen many different boarding steps on the net and in magazines like Great Lake Scuttlebutt or the BoatUS mag, there are some pretty innovative steps and ramps. Check RV/camper dealers as well.

Re: Help Finding A Quality Remanufactured 318 vs. Rebuild

I have been a professional mechanic for 35 years, started out in the car business and worked my way up to Kenworths and Peterbilts. For the past 10 years I have been employed in a shop that specialized in fire truck repair, just to give you some background. Thru my career I have worked in two differ...
