Re: No cable TV at my slip

FYI DVR for over the air recording. Jeff I know you are looking for something for cable tv recording. This is FYI for those that have dumped the cable pig. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J05QJPG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Something else cool I ran across for RV and marine p...

Re: Battery group/size? 1978 28 express

27 is what I have. I can tell you; you get what you pay for in a marine battery. I have used the Auto Zone junk,. I have used advanced auto junk. They both burn off water too quick on my dock charger. I know, I know my charger is not the most advanced up to date charger  All I use now is Inte...

Re: No cable TV at my slip

That is what I'm saying. Record to your laptop via windows media center and silicon dust tuner. Hook up laptop via HDMI cable, if you have them on the computer and TV. If not you will need some type of RCA converter cable plus a long 3.5mm audio cable. You could use a desktop computer hooked into yo...

Re: No cable TV at my slip

Will my DVD player play the stuff I record (off the PC)?

I think you will have to carry your laptop to the boat and hook it to your TV. I have researched recording to DVD and it is way too complicated for me. Good luck on that! Let us know how you work it out.

Re: No cable TV at my slip

Jeff, I dumped the cable pig a few years ago. Cost way too much to flip through a bunch of channels with nothing on worth watching. More gas money for the M :D Problem is, you can't do this if you are a sports junkie. My large TV is a computer monitor basically. So I watch TV via antenna for local H...

Re: To appraise or not to appraise

First, let me say, I hate to see you both give up on your boat project. I do applaud you for moving on. It is almost impossible to find a competent boat mechanic unless you live close to a very large body of water. When you do find one they are very expensive. Maybe you guys can set a future goal of...
