Thanks. Got the old girl running good. Ill try to upload video of running. Had carb checked and adjusted, and running good. I may have under estimated this 327 after all. It may be old but runs solid now. Thanks to all.. This forum helped alot..

Anyone know where I can get a oil dipstick tube for a 327 V8 Graymarine Fireball engine . Bin looking online but no luck.

When I first start her up and each time after that ( same day ) she smokes and there is carbon . More carbon on initial start. But runs great after that. I will check thermostat . Also will have valve stem seals checked and check motor rotation . Sure would be nice not to have to spend $$$$$$ on new...

No, not asking questions. just order of things needed done. I am in NE Ohio. Ashtabula to be exact. The motor run great. It burns a quart of oil every 2 - 3 times out though. Carbon blowing out the exhaust. When running her she dose not smoke. Just on start ups when smoke and carbon blow out. Had 1 ...

After winterizing my 327 gray marine fireball engine, mechanic said needs rebuilt. Another mechanic said just heads and a carb .They both said that motor was designed to run leaded gas not ethanol gas. She spits carbon out exhaust and I had to put 1 to 1-1/2 quarts of oil every few times running her...

Update on trip home. That Gray Marine Fireball 327 ran great... No issues at all. Burned about 70 gallons of gas from port clinton to fairport habor 2 stops. Rough seas first leg of trip then lake laid down. Ran rest of the way home at 2800 to 3100 RPM. Throttle lever loose , kept having to bump thr...
