Jeboniface,
Thanks for posting the pics. Nice work and great detail. Did you need to special order the aluminum channel across the top of the gate?

Re: transom gate and swim platform
Metalhead,
It appears your drop in color matches the transom's color. Did you use starboard? And were you able to paint it?

Re: transom gate and swim platform
I'd say your tale will make for a good "fireside chat" but the bow of our 32' wouldn't accommodate a fire ring very well! Sooooo, we'll just do what we always do and the "deck is yours", Joel....

Re: transom gate and swim platform
One modification to Joel's great idea... Storage... When you have the sides open in the transom, one could cut a slot in the adjacent area of the transom's top section for the slat. The open side would allow assurance of needed clearance for the slat when it slides into place. Trim the top of the cu...

Re: Marinette saves garage.
Tuff to know what to say....
- Great that the garage was spared, along with the contents!
- Lousy that the "Big M" may be totaled!!
(Garage could be rebuilt, contents salvaged and/or replenished. Big M's aren't so easily brought back. )

Re: wire size
Dave, (Not to muddy the waters, but....). One wire alternators are dependent on a good ground between the mounting tabs and the engine block. Given the high moisture content of the air in most engine spaces, I'd be concerned about eventual corrosion between the mating surfaces, reducing the effectiv...

Re: Looking for port hole screens
NOT speaking from experience in that type of screen, but, given the age of our boats, and yours in particular, is there no way to just replace the porthole screen? I'd think Marinette would have anticipated that their boats would be in use for many years and some things, like screens, would deterior...

Re: Just bought my 1st "M" and need some help..
For your head issue, do a search on this site for " waste tank/s setup ". I've detailed the installation pf a waste tank in that thread. As for gas guage issue, Your fuel tank "should" have a sender unit mounted on the top of it (?). A single wire runs from there to a gas guage a...
