Those mercs look good in that space!
Like they belonged there all along.

Re: We Bought A 1987 Marinette 32 FB
Most of the time, we tool along at less than 10mph, but like having the speed when you want it. My rule is you need to able to outrun most things bigger than you. One night we had trouble retrieving the anchor and found ourselves coming up river well after dark. I was puzzling over a strange light c...

Re: A little crazy?
Congratulations on a great project completed.
It looks like the drives are far enough apart, but is the boat as easy to handle in tight quarters using the sticks--e.g. "doing the twin engine twist"? I'd imagine the pivot point has moved aft.
Thank you.
Joe

Re: No Sea Strainers!
You're on the right track--both are essential. My 28 came standard with gate valves and I replaced them with safety seacocks: https://www.groco.net/products/valves-seacocks/flanged-valves/sbv-series They came in handy for winterizing. I haven't seen them in any other boat, but my 28 had San Juan Sea...

Love it! '66 26! Those tops look like Formica--or at least they were in mine--so I'd start with their recommendations: https://www.formica.com/en-us/articles/care-and-maintenance/formica-laminate-special-cleaning-recommendations When I did my '28 I measured carefully and had my local cabinet shop cu...

Re: For Sale 32 B floor plan
Thanks. I noticed that later. I flunked that late night reading test. We moved out west so I’d have to think about hauling. Thank you.

Re: Fuel filler hose removal
Considering what passed through that hose, I'd be careful with a heat gun in an enclosed space. There probably isn't any residual fuel vapor, but . . . You're talking about the deck fitting--yes? Can you remove the fitting from the deck? Sorry to sound elementary, but please use the right grade hose...

Re: Looking for Port Side Helm Seat, Stand, Wall Bracket and Footrest.
Bill, that's right unless you re-build the seats. The hardware for a starboard seat mounted on the other side would work. After you disassemble the seat you should easily be able to re-build it the other way. It will need to re-covered of course and you (watch out here it comes) might as well re-uph...
