Re: A little crazy?
Thanks for the suggestion, but when all is said and done, I am looking at having well under $10k into the project. Besides not being able to find a pair of quality used 300 hp 4 stroke outboards. New ones run around $25-28K each. Throw in all the new rigging and new bracket that would need to be mad...

Re: A little crazy?
Thanks guys. Yes, with Bravo drives they can be run in either direction without having to change the lower unit to a counter rotation like an Alpha. It is on its own trailer, but it is only a yard trailer that is not that great. I hope to remember to take pictures and will try to post the progress t...

A little crazy?
This past spring I sold my 1975 28 express and bought a 1990 32 express with twin 360's. Overall I love the boat. But one of the main reasons I upgraded was to see if I could transform a 32 inboard into a 32 Sterndrive. I know most people think that I am crazy, but hear me out. I boat on Lake Superi...

A sticky anti siphon valve on the fuel tank is another possibility. Or there could be debris clogging up the dip tube.

Re: Brand new Big M owner here...questions about trailering...
I have used 2 inch ratchet straps off of the mid cleats, it lets the boat pivot more as you come out of the water. Attach them wherever you can around the trailer tongue. It also works nice for keeping it straight while loading onto the trailer.

Re: Oil Plug Came Out Under Power
Most people suck the oil out of the dipstick don't they? I would check with the mechanic to see how they do it. It may not be their fault, but if they did use the drain plug, they probably share some responsibilty.

On the other hand that is how marina's/ store stay in business. Hard to employ someone when everybody orders off of Amazon. Which I am guilty of myself!

Re: Interesting project
I believe the boat is a 28' and not a 32' as described in the ad. But it does look nice!

Although it is very nice, I would think they would be hard pressed to get the $55k asking price!

Re: Window Track is now Available!
That is awesome, I hope it doesn't get sold out too soon. My 28 is in storage for a few more months before I can measure it up.
