Got them directly from Marinette with new bearings, did take about a month and was a bit pricey but original equipment. Kept the old set for future reference.

Unless there is a specific reason for wanting outboards, I'd be willing to bet you could put rebuilt engines, transmissions, new struts and cutless bearings in cheaper with a lot less headaches. With close to the same reliability.

How much? Personally I would go into it as total restoration. If you can get it cheap and are a handy person go for it. If the owner is emotionally attached, not willing to part with cheap, and you're going to have to hire out the repairs, your in for an expensive venture.

Did something very similar, used 5/8" wood grain tiles from Rubber Flooring Inc, trimmed them with a band saw and put a hallway runner on top. Looks good, feels good and as mentioned above if it gets stained or worn throw it out and start over, cheap.

Drained mine while it was in the yard, pulled the fuel out from the cut off valve. Had a tank in the back of the truck with a small vane pump.

Have one just outside of Atlanta, Ball Machine 770-279-7881. Did two 318's for me, so far the engines themselves have run perfectly, it's the other stuff, lots of little, frustrating, stuff. All things considered it's not to bad and not unexpected, frustrating.
